hi , im not sure where i should put this post ... i bought a tl-2 and i like it a lot but the head is too large for my pocket all the time . So , being me , modifying everything , machined a new barrel for it . i used a 2aa mag lens end cap and reflector and i was wonder if there is a better reflector i could get ahold of ? i didnt want to permanently mod the tl-2 . can u order parts from streamlight ? i wanna make the tl-2 work again . -Andy sorry for the novel length post .

Wow, a bump 10 months later! I'm curious to see the new head you made for it. Got any pics? Did the TL-2 bulb melt the mag reflector and lens? When you say you're looking for a better reflector, in what way do you want it better? Texturized? (orange peel) If it's just an aluminum one you looking for, I hear the aluminum Q3 reflectors work, or can be modded to work in a Minimag, so maybe they'll work for your custom head (which uses the MM lens and reflector). I think "they" said eTendue has 'em for sale.

I'm wondering why not get a E2e, the head is not as big and is a high quality light, you can upgrade the TL-2 with a strion bulb and Li-ions.

I will post pics . as to the reflector the mag one stinks as you know the plating comes off easily and so on .As to why not get an e2e they are $$ . no it didnt melt the lens but i got a new mag lens from flashlight lens .com /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif I have since turned the OD to make it a lil lighter and i tried to put flats on it and did it in too much of a hurry and they came out bad . /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif
