Here's a Key-Lux AA that I upgraded for someone. This light was actually sent to me by the previous owner back in Sep. 08. The relector's finish was not all that great & had rings which appeared in the beam. I sputtered to smoothen out the beam. The light was sold & the new owner contacted me by coincidence I guess & asked if I could make it brighter by making a new canister for it. So here it is. Hope the owner enjoys.
-TnC Red Key-Lux AA "350ma" host
-SSC P4 U2SVOH
-FLuPIC V2.2
-Powered by a 14500 Li-ion
-Sputtered reflector
-.027" copper shim
-Brass battery contact
The bezel reads 350ma. Original canister has a SSC P4 & a MJ-10 driver. I have no idea what the specs are on the original canister but compared to my CPF Special Key-Lux (pictured above) that runs a MJ Micro Conveter pil with a USXOH my Key Lux is noticeably brighter. After comparing the two I'm not so sure this Key-Lux is running at 350ma. Beam shots below are using new Alkalines in both lights & an AW 14500 with the FLuPIC on high (level 10) which is about 650ma. Brighter on burst.
