Based largely on the recommendations of this site, I took the plunge and placed an order for an Arc LSH-P. I placed the online order on Monday morning for an LSH-P, 2AA tailcap, a closeout 123 Power-pack, and Arc pouch.

The order arrived Tuesday morning! The anodizing of the LSH-P and the 2AA powerpack matches perfectly. The closeout 123 Power-pack is rougher/darker. I’m not complaining though, the ad said it would be an unanodized, naked aluminum, tailcap. So it’s better than expected, and only $4.95.

I really like the 2AA Power-Pack. It will get used in my search & rescue vest, in a pouch that used to hold a min-mag or krill lamp.

For EDC I think I will carry the Arc in the pouch, with the flat twisty tail cap, so I can stuff a spare battery under the light.

The more you carry it the more you will like it.with nimh AA cells and no bulb to burn out it is fun to use a light you don't feel guilty about running to much. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinser2.gif

Peter,
I'm thrilled with the light, the finish is nicer than the one pictured on your website. It's definatley the whitest LED light I have ever used. No blue tint at all to my eyes.
