Okay, I am looking for a new edc light. I have the arc aaa and a couple modded mini mags. I am wanting something brighter and more throw for an edc. I have been looking atr the streamlight stinger. My budget is about a 100$$ So what would you recomend for a new edc light with good throw and brightness. (oh yea needs to be lots brighter than my inretech mag.) Any ideas??

I suggest you get the E2e for EDC considering your price limit. I don't know the current prices but you should also have enough to get a box of SF123A batteries and perhaps a spare lamp such as the MN02.

The Stinger is a rechargeable flashlight and I think better suited more for everyday use rather than Everyday carry. It's very large and heavy compared to the models people generally consider EDC. The E2e can be carried easily and you hardly know it's there until you need it and it's quickly deployed from being clipped in your pocket.
Flashlights the size of the Stinger really need a belt holster or pouch and you'd have to need and use a lot in my opinion to justify carrying it around.

i second the e2e.

an l4 is nice too, and many prefer it over the e2e, but it doesnt' have quite the throw of an e2e.

it's small, durable, attractive, and quite moddable /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I EDC my E2e because it is nice and small, as well as bright. It is a very nice light, and you will not regret buying it if you decide to.

How about the ARC LS ?
Don't know how the throw compares to the e2e but you could get an
ARC-LSL for $65 or
ARC-LSL-P for $95

Plus you don't have to buy a spare lamp.

another vote for E2E for throw in a pocket light. Plus lots of goodies you can add to it /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

E2e

With it you can go to a lower output, longer runtime incandescent lamp or you can add the KL1 LED head
or the KL4 LED head

if that is too big, go for the ARC-LS series.

I have 2 E2e(s), one is the Outdoorsman. I swapped lamp assemblies, the short clipped E2e gets the most use with the MNO2 (25 lumen), and the Outdoorsman with the long clip has the MNO3 (60 lumen).

I have no desire at this time to even consider the larger bezel SureFire's that take the P60/P61 lamps. The E2e(s) are the best purchases I've made.

The MNO2 lamp assembly is outstanding, and more than once I've had to take the bezel off and make sure I didn't have an MNO3 in there!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

For pocket carry, E2e or L4. Since I bought my L4 I sold my E2e immediately, both outstanding lights.

If you carry via a holster, the Streamlight Twin Task are outstanding lights, especially for the money. The 2L is 2x123a and I'm sure will outthrow the E2e and L4. I've found the best prices here I've been nothing but impressed with my twin task and can't beleive they sell for so little.

E2E!
I use the L4 also, and it is a beautiful light, but the E2E has more throw.
My EDC is actually the TW4, which has even less light, but suits my everyday needs nicely. (And gets use most every day.)
