First let me say my modding experience is putting a Chinese drop in in a 6P.
I was looking at tower leds, and thought I would try my hand at turning one.
Instead of aluminum, I want to make it out of copper, because of the greater thermal conductivity.
Are there any blueprints around, or can anyone enlighten me on how to find the proper height for an led on a stick?
All I've been able to find are guys that know voodoo or something, they know to shim up certain leds a bit more than others.
Where they get this info is still beyond me.
I've searched the forums and only saw that kits were available at some point, then interest faded away from towers.
As for the hardware, I'll try to use the parts described in the various threads.
I do hope to make one for a KT4 and KT1.
