Hallo,

last week i got the M2C4 I´ve been patiently waiting for (thanks a lot for the non-strobe-mod!!!:twothumbs)

Now I´m a bit dissapointed because of the poor ergonomy of the rectangular battery-tube...

Would´t it be much(!) more ergonomic (nearly perfect) to have a triple-tube with a triangular cross-section?!

Please make this dream of an Flashlight come true- Eagletac! :poke:

Regards,
Dirk

I didn't originally like the ergonomics of the M2 either, but I found a position which is pretty comfortable, and now I like it quite a bit.

I used to try to get all of my fingers around the battery tube. Even though my hand was not large, my hand "hung off" the end of the light and the tailcap's protrusions dug into my skin. Plus this exaggerated the top-heaviness of the light.

Now, I only put my pinky, ring finger, and middle finger on the battery tube ... I let each finger tip rest on the 9 ... err ... grooves running the length of the battery tube.

I wrap my index finger around the selector ring. My thumb goes perpendicular to the other fingers, pointing towards the bezel. The tip of my thumb is actually on the tip of the bezel.

I found this to be comfortable enough to trail run with :grin2: If you hold it this way, the center of gravity does not torque your wrist as much. Also, if your thumb is placed on the head of the light, you will get a better sense of how hot it is getting (it does not seem on mine that the temperature of the head and battery tube are similar).

If the light had a triple tube, it would need either 3 18650's or 6 CR123's, which is a much higher voltage, so the circuit would have to lower this voltage more, which would give off more heat (not sure how much).

Also, designing and manufacturer a triangular tube with 3 cylinders in it would not necessarily be any easier, and it would probably be more complicated. You would probably need triangular O-rings, which wouldn't really work all that well.
