Trustfire 5- mode stuck in 'demo'??

Hi guys, hoping the CPF braintrust can help me out on this.
Trustfire TR-801 5 mode 1-18650 was working fine, but now just cycles through all 5 modes, staying in each one only for about 3-4 seconds. Can't get it to stay in any one mode. Any suggestions?

Could be a contact problem because I don't think those lights have a "demo" mode.

Try closing the circuit without the talicap. Use a peace of metal to bypass the tailcap and see if it still changes modes by itself. If it does, then it could be a bad light or a bad contact towards the head. If the mode changing stops, try cleaning the contacts (all of them, take apart the switch).

Thanks Gunner, I actually took the tailcap off, messed around with it, put in a new battery (rechargeable trustfire) and it seems ok now. Maybe it was just the low batt?
