I just bought the TrustFire All-in-One Charger from DX. I charged my brand new 18650 2500 mah protected batteries. Here is the charger.

When there is no battery in the charger the status light is green, and when I plug in the dead battery it turns red. I charged the batteries for quite a while and they never turned green. I took them out and tested them with a voltmeter and they tested full at 4.2V. I wanted to know if this is normal and will the status light ever go green when charging the batteries?

How long is 'quite a while'. My RCR123's take over an hour to charge and their only 750mah each.

James...

I have this charger from DX. I've charged Ultrafire Protected and Unprotected RCR's, Unprotected Sony 18650's and 17670's from old battery packs... All of them terminated at 4.01v (from my broken Craftsman DMM). My lights go from Red (charging) to green (done charging).

first off not to be mean or anything, i think this belongs in a different section.

anyhow, i got this charger. i find that sometimes the color doesnt change, however i just simply rotate the battery (turning) while its charging and that'll affect the color status. its a pretty cheap charger at a good price considering its compatibilities so yea....

I have the same one you have, and it works fine for me. There has only been one instance for me where the charger wouldn't turn green for an 18650 battery. And when I tested it, it showed 4.08v. And it was in the charger for at least 6 hours. But beyond that one incident, all my other 18650s, 17670s and 16340s charged perfectly fine. The biggest issue continues to be the contacts. Otherwise, for a cheap charger, it does its job.

Oh yes cheap charger and so far it is doing its job. I left the batteries on there for around 4 hours. They read fully charged, but the lights never went to green. I know they can go to green because as soon as I take the batteries out they go from red to green. I will let them charge a little longer and see what happens. I love the charger and my new light from DX. THanks
