Make sure to read all the forum entries for the item. It looks like some people are actually getting 5+ Amp readings! That would definitely make it one bright light! I cant imagine it would last long though, because the heat-sinking is generally poor on DX lights which would fry the emitter.

Your results will widely vary though. For a bright light, consider the TR1200 trustfire. It uses 5 XR-Es at about 0.7 amp each which will produce MUCH less heat and still a good output.

Even then, theres been a few people who seemed to have gotten a gimped-version that barely manages 1 amp total! Unless you really know how to 'fix' these lights, I'd steer clear.

For 60ish dollars, shiningbeams new MG-P-Rocket is a good bet. Its a 3.0 Amp driven SST-50 in a small body. At least you will have good customer support and better build quality.

The numbers for the 2 cell light sku.36031 does not add up.

2*2500 mAH batteries give 5 Watt-Hours total. Trustfire claims 2 hours runtime on high. So the LED gets only 2500 mAH.
OR
The LED gets 5000 mAH for only 1 hour. 5000 mAH is close to 2C safe limit for some batteries and over that for many others. :poof:

MG-P-Rocket has been measured at 2A. Which can be a good thing.
My Elektrolumens EDC-P7 measured 2.8A. It got too hot to hold in 5 minutes Not too pratical.
My MTE P7 measured 2.1A. It got warm but I can hold it for extended periods of time.

BTW the small reflector in the MG-P-Rocket makes for a floody light. The big reflectors in the lights mentioned by the OP should give a more focussed beam.
