Three guesses what this is:

ahole0.jpg

Hint: It is *not* from the cover of an obscene magazine or video cassette.

It's not a "fraternity" sweatshirt close-up.
(My favourite one was a UK sweatshirt that had IDONTGOTO UNIVERSITY across it in the usual arc.)

It's not a secret microscopic message you discovered on a LED made by a disgruntled worker.

It looks like a set of *novelty* GITD lettering ?

Ps - it's no good hiding behind that new display name: I know it's you, Telephony !!

Nope, nope, and nope.

It's actually a product that *may* very well be in your kitchen cubboard as of this very moment!! It is also advertised extensively on United States television. Not sure about the United Kingdom or other locations overseas however.

Is it for Polo mints- you know:

"Polo. The mint with a Hole

and an erroneous apostrophe added for no apparent reason- cos it seems everyone just adds punctuation where it`s not needed these days!

Nope, that ain't it either, but your're remarkably close.
Time to get a wider shot.

Nope, and nope.

Next clues:
You do not normally store this product in a refrigerator.
In some households, it is seen in the cupboard or even used every day.
Other households may not use it at all.
Individual product is small enough to flush down the toilet.
May be stopped by the spoon guard in the sink, but will go down with plunging.

Nope, it's not vitamins either. It's not a tablet or capsule of any type. You will find this in the kitchen cabinet, not the medicine cabinet.

More clues:

It does *eventually* end up in the toilet, but not the way it comes out of the package.

It is usually used with another common household product, rather than by itself.

It is advertised extensively on television; with at least one variation of the product using a mascot type character.

You're very, very close now.

The final clue should bust this case wide open.

Cheerio!! You got it!

That horrible bee mascot kinda covers all Cheerios products, but especially the two sugary kinds (honey frosted and honey nut).

(Museum, I guess you know the rats love cheerios..but you gotta think the frosted and honey nut might have too much sugar for them? Just thought I'd mention it ...)
