Twist switches for functions available for modding?

Hi, I may like to mod a light with a twist switch for functions, but is anything like that available?
I have seen a video of I think an AA light? to change modes to strobe for instance. Is that really a good switch in there?
Are they available to mod with somewhere? Just curious. Thanks!
