I have just ordered a brand new Tigerlight FBOP from the USA (Central Police Supply Inc) at a "too good to miss" price of $79.95 (£42!). It was the LAST one they had. It will almost certainly come with a 110v charger. I plan to charge it in the car initially, but does anyone know how I can get a UK charger for it, or how else can I adapt it to work in the UK?
Please pardon my ignorance here. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Have a look at outdoorsuppliesuk...Joe is a pleasure to deal with and I believe he sells official Tigerlights with UK chargers.

I bought a USA/UK adaptor from Dixons (cost about £20) which allows me to charge it as normal in the house.
Joe is a good guy (www.outdoorsuppliesuk.com) and decent to deal with. You'll have no problems and he may be able to supply a UK charger for you.

I am looking at a transformer on ebay. Will this one do the job:
"This device will power American 2-pin devices with a maximum power requirement of 45 Watts.
Voltage converter to convert UK mains power (220V-240V)
to USA mains power (110V-120V). The converter plugs into
a standard UK mains wall socket, and accepts a standard 2-pin USA mains plug.
So with this device you can use USA (or Japanese) equipment
here in the UK. Just plug into the wall here in the UK and then plug your American (2-pin) cable that came with your American equipment.

Ideal for USA dvd players, radios, and other devices that do not require more than 45 Watts of power."

Thats the correct type of adaptor. Dont know if that particular model is of good quality or not, but thats the sort of convertor you need.
