I just visited this China manufacturer website and found a clone for the Ultra-G, they are in Ningbo too, look for yourselves:

here is the company link this light is at the bottom right of the page.

The one that looks like a dog urinator appears to have been cloned as well as the one that looks like a section of chopped up broom or mop handle. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif
(Hint: Both flashlights have "FLxxxx" part numbers in that photograph).

A lot of the lights on that website look familiar, but don't assume that they're the actual manufacturers of the lights sold by companies we know. I have a Chinese copy of a Streamlight TT 2L. It's a piece of poop! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/knight.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

I guess they're not the only ones producing CMG/Gerber clones. Ombu of Spain has an Infinity clone called the Treker. Even their Bullet-Lite resembles the Sonic a bit.

Pitiful, just pitiful. These manufacturers who steal other makers' designs just to make a few bucks should be put out of business.

It looks like the "Treker" uses a 23A 12 volts cell. I wonder if this makes it much shorter than the Infinity?

Ombu says it's 7 centimeters in length, so I'd say about 2.75 inches?. It would be shorter than the Gerber Infinity, but the overall appearance of the Treker (minus the logo) is the spitting image of the Infinity.

Amazing how many completely different companies "manufacture" the same exact lights...

(yeah right....)

I was tempted to place an order with the company. However they have a 5000 piece minimum order. I'm not sure I could unload that quantity of any item. (Although their costs are very cheap (1-2.00 per piece)...

they can ship in 100 units (if you promise them to buy more later) for about usd2.5 / usd3 a unit fob china, add about 50 for the wire transfer, add about 100 for fedex and I don't know how much customs will charge you, but think about 400/500 usdollars grand total delivered to your door.
And if you actually buy more later (about 3000 more) they credit you with the surcharge applied to the first batch.

I already asked /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

"Clones?"

Those are knockoffs, without qualification.

Looks like they're borrowing "inspiration" from Dorcy and LEDLenser in addition to CMG/Gerber.
