In that case you need to think CR2 or CR123, which would get you a Titan or a T1A, respectively, both from Surefire.

They not only have the UI you're looking for, but they also have the lowest available low setting on the market, not to mention perfect beam patterns. Problem is the price with the Titan having been a limited run of 1,000 pieces at $500, and the T1A still easily available for about a couple hundred, sometimes less.

I had both and won't get rid of Titan, but the T1A, using the larger battery, just felt a bit large for a smooth bodied light and they both went down the road, although I may buy another again someday.

Sounds like you're looking for the Surefire T1A Titan, but that runs off a 123A... I'm not aware of a AAA that's infinitely variable...

the liteflux is infinitely variable, similar ui as the nitecore d10. Press and hold and it will start ramping.

Sounds like long walks since the d10/liteflux is to big/heavy, weak legs maby?:poke: I use the liteflux on my keychain and i dont notice it at all.

I would not go for a aaa if you need to use the light for a greater period(camping ect.), the batteries are to weak, and you will probably need to bring lots of spares.
I love long walks up mounians, so I try to keep my backpack as lightweight as possible, still im usually carrying a md2 or tk11. I dont carry spare batteries cause i never have been close to draining a 18650 on a single trip. in summertime i dont need a light at all, only sunglasses (the sun is up 24/7 for some months:twothumbs)

AAA capacity is indeed low but high enough for my application, and batteries just get better... :)

cool, Lødingen is only 30 min away from where i live. :twothumbs
i sometimes carry a preon 1 ti with a 3,7 v li-ion (not recomended due to heat issues) Man this litte bugger always blows me away. Brighter than my md2 with m30w using the celing bounce check. I dont dare to use it on high for more than a min or 2 tough, but i rarely need high anyway:thumbsup:
