Flashlight Enthusiast
Hi folks...
A few days ago i simply asked if it was possible to get a very large flashlight lens (for my megamod of course)... and to my surprise i got the most amazing reply almost immediately, with questions on details of my requirements.
When i sent back the details, Chris from flashlightlens.com jumped on the opportunity and made me a 3.60inch diameter light with special 50% thicker glass.
I could not be more satisfied with the amazing customer service and i was stunned by the price, which though not 'cheap' was extremely reasonable... considering the lens has about 20x the area of a typical flashlight lens.
The best part... holy smoke is that glass clear... you literally can not see it if it sets on paper, etc.. I took a couple pictures to show off the difference, and it is dramatic...
The pictures show simply... how much light USED to be bounced back into the flashlight, and now how much is not.. (there is a cute bit of purple fringe in the small amount of light reflected back in)..
Anyhow.. didn't know exactly where to post this, but i figured in modified would be best, since it's when you do a mod you want it to be the best... far as i'm concerned... 'til you get a flashlightlens lens in... you aren't quite done.
I will post the pics soon as i get them out of the camera.
