Another thread here got me thinking about multi-color / multi-level lights and looking at the Tomahawk series lights, they seem like they might offer more than the SureFire Kroma. Build quality looks good and the beamshots also look great. I'd be interested in any comments from people who've owned/used these two in real-world, practical situations. Thanks and happy 2009!

I used a Tomahawk but do not own one, but I own a KROMA.

IMHO the interface of the Tomahawk is way less intuitive than the Kroma's, and that goes for the selection of the lightsource as well as for the level control, especially the "High level white" upon "mash down".

On the flip side ... the Tomahawk has a more efficient main LED and is thus brighter on high beam and it has a very intriguing form factor. This can be a turn-off and a plus, depending on your preferences, but it is something very different.
Also ... the blue/red strobe is really cool. Very LEO-like :D

One other thing ... there's also the Inova Inforce light with additional colored LEDs and another different interface. Might wanna include that one in the list, too.

Thanks all. Tom, I had looked at the thread you mentioned because it was linked from a recent USGI anglehead thread. I also have been reading the thread on the new Inova and agree that it probably should be added to the mix. I had initially thought that it might lead me to replace my Kroma but reading recent comments I'm not as convinced. Still a very intersting light.
