Using 3x18650 in a romisen rc-t6

Hello!

My first post in this great forum!

I've bought the Romisen RC-T6 flashlight and have read alot about the problem with only 4 LED's working due to low voltage.
I've read a post about buying two extensiontubes and running the flashligt on 3x18650 will fix the problem.

Is this a good solution or is there a risk of damage the flashlight?

Using cr123 is not the way for me since I already have bought 6 18650 and a recharger.

Seeing as it's good up to 16.8v, I don't see a problem, at least voltage-wise.
