4Sevens was in Utah for the Outdoor Retailer show, and a few of us locals lucky enough to be able to make it got together tonight for a little mini-CPF-meet at The Pie in Salt Lake City.
It was a lot of fun!
Gromit brought along his new Orb Wee, which almost got dropped and lost it was so tiny
, along with his Orb Raw, his brand new Novatac EDC120T, and some really cool McGizmo stuff I'm not all that familiar with.
Matt Sutton brought along his Inova X1, and a modded Maglight that I think he was trying to set something on fire with when we were driving off. :naughty:
Lowworm and Mr. Lowworm were there, and she brought a beautiful McLux that almost ended up going home with 4Sevens :green:
as well as a couple other really nifty lights. As it turned out, Mr. Lowworm and Mrs. Mchlwise used to be neighbors a few years ago. Small world.
I was there (of course) with Mrs. Mchlwise and my Fenix P3D Rebel 100.
And last but farthest from least was 4Sevens, with Gary from Fenix-store, and their box of goodies. Since we were inside a crowded pizza place, we didn't really get a chance to go nuts with the HID's that David brought with him, but we did the best we could, and I'm sure there were plenty of people looking at us funny - but we ignored them (on our way out one of the cooks said "Nice flashlights."
). David also brought some other goodies we played with, like a Draco, an Ion or two, and the pineapple U2.
There were other lights I'm forgetting, but I kind of lost track in all the excitement.

It really was an enjoyable time, and CPFers are great people. It was great to meet and talk with Gromit, Matt Sutton, and Lowworm. We'll definitely have to do it again sometime. :grouphug:
I especially enjoyed getting to know 4Sevens a little bit. It's clear where his great customer service comes from... he's just the nicest guy you could imagine. The only Fenix Rebel100 that was at the party was mine - David didn't even keep one for himself so he could get them out to everyone who wanted one. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to get anything out of him as far as insider Fenix info... although he did tell me they're going to be putting the Rebel in the L0D platform. :naughty: It was nice to meet Gary too. He's the behind-the-scenes guy at Fenix store helping to get your stuff out and answer your questions.
Thanks again for the great night, David!
I'm going to stop by Outdoor Retailer Expo tomorrow morning and get some more pictures of David and the Fenix booth.
