UV Lux 1?

I undomed 2 Luxeon 1's, and they turned out UV??? Am I just a person who discovered this really late or something? I will TRY to post pics soon. What is UV about? And it gets HOT after 30 seconds or so on an IMR 16340..... sooo.....??:thinking:

LEDs make blue light, which is converted to white by that yellow stuff you see on the LED (phosphor).

You probably pulled the phosphor off with the dome.

Small question, how do you know that it's UV? UV is, by definition, invisible to the naked eye, and as far as my memory goes the die in most power LEDs, as znomit said, emits blue light.

Ohhh..... I guess I mean black light?

Oh ok. Yeah. The yellow stuff came off witht the dome. Also, some stayed on the dome on the others I undomed....
