Has anyone purchased anything from v-leds.com they have some pretty cool looking stuff but I was wondering if it was all self-promotion or are they pretty good. I purchased some third brake lights from superbrightlеԁ before, but I was not at all impressed.

Re: V-lеԁѕ?

Thank you for fixing the link I didn't relize I had left the http on there twice. I was looking to get a one sided 168 type light for some puddle lights on the side of my Mountaineer and was considering theirs.

didn't go through the whole site but as far as the led section, looks like it is the same stuff they sell on ebay?

Since you are not being specific at all as to what you are looking for, it is hard to give a reasonable answer. For the most part, they have the same products as any other place (including superbrightlеԁ), but at a higher price. I've bought from superbrightlеԁ (an interior bulb) and had friends buy from v-lеԁѕ. What are you looking at precisely?

Re: V-lеԁѕ?

Ive purchased lots of LEDs for my car from them.
I bought them almost a year ago and all except 2 are still working!

It surely looks as if it is. See for example these two of their products, one of which is priced at $15 (on sale from $20) and described as "This amazing light is the brightest, and most versatile we've ever seen!", and the other of which is priced at $50 and described as "This is currently the brightest LED replacement bulb in the world."

Uhh...yeah. So which is it, guys?

Re: V-lеԁѕ?

i've used those bulbs before - they are absolutely terrible. they create almost no light output at all - i would guess around 20-30 lumen total. its not worth the waste of $$$

Haha. Yeah.
"When we say High Power we mean it! This is not just some statement to make these sound great, they really are! This is currently the brightest LED replacement bulb in the world."

I like this part too.
"Replace your ugly filament bulbs!"
Those "ugly" bulbs are safe though.

Re: V-leds.com?

This is why I asked OP what exactly is he looking for. I bought festoon lights for interior from superbrightleds and they are brighter than the regular filament lights. My friends have bought variations of break/turn/back-up lights from v-leds and I've been unimpressed. Interior lights seemed to be on par with what I got.

Re: V-leds.com?

I replaced every interior light in my Sonoma with V-LED lights. It was a bit pricey but I'm very satisfied. It looks great and now when I go camping and people keep going in and out of my truck, it doesn't kill my battery. I found a coupon code on a forum too. The only exterior lighting I would consider is the amber 68 M-SMT fog lights. The rest there is no point.

they agreed to refund the entire purchase price of the first set as long as I purchased the new set! Anyway, sorry I got a bit excited but I'm pretty psyched to have found this forum!

Re: V-lеԁѕ?

to bump an old thread, has anyone installed the V-3 Switchback led's from this company? I am curious as to exactly how they mount in the traditional socket orifice in a vehicle. I haven't found much detail on their website.:bumpit::bumpit::bumpit:

Such bulbs/LED conversions, whether "switchback" or not, are unsafe and illegal from any company. Do not use them. The first legitimate LED bulb retrofits just recently came on the market from Philips. More will join them gradually. Everything else is not OK to use in traffic.

I know they're illegal and I do not plan on using them on my vehicle, I am curious how the optics are supposed to work to mimic an incandescent bulb in the incandescent receptacle and lens given that the aforementioned units apparently do not mount in a twist-lock socket but with a bulkhead style clamp that is depth adjustable in the housing. I refuse to buy a set just to play with them at the retail price.
