Would vacuum sealing lithiums have any positive or negative side effects? Would it increase shelf life? I think itd be a good waterproof storage method, but would the vacuum be detrimental to the batteries?

Brightnorm has ran a E2E submerge in water and with the battery compartment filled with water too. So Lithium 123s are pretty much water resistant at the very least.

well, it has an overpresure valve, so I would not make the vacuum to deep, but with regular househould vacuum devices is shouldn't be a problem. It will not increase shelf life, as far as I know this is determined by the stability of the inside components so a vacuum will not change the chemical stability. but it is a good way of storing them. personaly I use a SC1/SC2 and if I need more batteries (or for storage in the car) I use a small ziplock bag. You know, those evidence bags but smaller.
