value lights...best buys

The UK 2 AAA led, to me is a good value...around ten bucks. Stands on it end to light a room candle style...throws some light 360 degrees...focused lens but not a bad beam. I find it lights a room about the same as the Eclipes on medium power...should have a great run time...maybe 15 hours pretty bright.

The Eclipes at less than 15 bucks I consider to be another value light. Very nice. I feel it is the best 2016 type light out there...at any price.

I consider these to be best buys. I realize most our members are hard at work saving their dollars for the latest Arc`s and Surefires to get their light fix. But some members...like me...have evil wives...and are under strick light money limits. Opps...thats sensible wives /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/twak.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon15.gif

Any other lights that should be on this list?

Streamlight Key Mate. Got one a few days ago, and this little thing is GREAT! $9.50 at BrightGuy, and brighter than the UKE 2AAA LED (to my untrained eyes). It won't stand on end, and can't be used as a candle, but it does have a clip, and comes with a lanyard. Run time may be a concern though, for if I recall correctly, the literature that came with the light indicates that brightness drops off pretty quickly. Just my opinion...

Attitude for around $17--fantastic light.

Tec 40 for about $14.

Palight for about $15-$18.

Aurora, usually around $20 with bonus pulsar.

PedalinBob's list is good for me except I don't have the Tec 40.
I'm considering it though for Everled /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif (value, yes inexpensive, no)

My wife and I have come to an agreement. I can spend whatever I want to on lights /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif
I just have to give her the same amount$.
And we have to feed and clothe the family.
So value lights are important to me also /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
