Varta CR123's

I see that BatteryStation has a great deal going on Varta CR123's thru this weekend ($1/ea in Q50).

I found the great battery shootout thread searching the forums, but Varta wasn't included in the list of batteries.

Does anyone have any experience with Varta? Should I expect them to rival SF/e2 123's in characteristics? Duracell? Do they overheat frequently?

My primary uses for 123's are a SF L2, a SF A2 (purchased today), and a Fenix P2D (Purchased earlier this week, waiting on delivery...This forum is bad for me).

I see I can get the BatteryPatrol brand for $1.25/cell, so the $1/cell isn't that great of a difference if they're of poorer quality.

Any advice?

I sent SilverFox a small sample of them a while back. The data for them are in one of the first charts in his thread.

Sometimes they won't light up the incan on one of my A2's but, other than that, they've worked fine for my applications (1 and 2x123 lights).

Thanks for the response, Somehow I missed the Varta in the posts when I read them. I guess I need to go read them again!
