Dear knowledgable flashoholics,
I have used for several years a couple of the Waion VB16's (mk2 with a 3w luxeon I think) and I love them to bits, unfortunately the purchase of an UF 1000 and the loan of a Olight M21 has left me feeling they're a little out dated.
the obvious replacement is the current dx/kaidoman VB16 with an ssc led. but both shops are out of stock. I really like the mode memory so that I can crank it down low before I go to bed, turn it off and if I wake in the night it won't burn out my retina when fired back up. It was suggested I swap out the luxeon star emmiter for something better but I'm not very experienced at that sort of thing even though the instruction I was given sounded easy.
Is there any other RCR123/18650 lights under $35 I should be considering?
