Schucks has one of those vector rechargeable million candle power spotlights on sale for $12.99. What can I do to it for better battery life? Would a luxeon be as bright as the current bulb? What kind of battery does it use?

I think most of the Vectors are using 100W bulbs. Needless to say, no LS is going to get you that far in mileage...

Maybe resitering or otherwise underdriving it can extend the bulb life... Or replacing it with a smaller amperage bulb...

Hmmm...I have no idea what bulb it has, but it is suppost to last 1.5 hours on a charge. I don't think it has a 150 watt battery. Does anyone know what type of battery it uses? I would guess NiCd, I was thinking maybe I could stuff some NiMh's inside...

I think all rechargeable, handheld Vectors are sealed lead acid batteries...
