I have a bit of a dilemma here.
What kind of Verizon Cell Phone should i choose?
These are my choices: Blackberry 8703e , Palm Treo 700P, or the Motorola Q?

Thanks

Not on your list, but I use a Verizon VX8300 and a palm pilot (palm TX). The palm can access the internet via the palm using bluetooth. It's like having a treo, but with seperate batteries and bigger screen.

My boss hated the Palm Treo 700P. He had a hard time getting used to it and his fingers were too big for the buttons. His eyes and memory were both a little on the poor side, so it might not have been the phone.

Ok, Well just saw the 700P and the buttons are kind of hard to Push.

I really like the Q.
I think I might just go with the blackberry or the Q.

Thanks for the reply.

My Lady friend just went with the Palm Treo 700W since as you already know, the (P) is more likely Palm.OS as the (W) is MSWindows OS?

Check out the PhoneScoop.Com for more info. . .

I also have the Verizon VX8300. Nice features but does not work as a phone as well as the 4500 it replaced. I can be sitting on my couch and make a call but can't receive one or vice versa. Sometime I can't do either but will get notification that I have received a message or text.

Other times it will not seem to work as a phone at all but will let me connect to the internet. Glad I saved the 4500, so I have the option of activating it as a phone instead and using the 8300 as an MP3 player & camera. Progress does not always mean improvement.

Love the "Q" but... the "Pearl" will be CDMA on Sprint soon (I assume Verizon too)

I just went ona meeting and it is a really good unit!!!

83 venture,

The individual phone sometime make a diference. My VX8300 gets a better signal than my old VX10 and by wife's motorola. My wife has had 3 of the same V60 moto cell phones (she likes it for some reason) and one has performed significantly better than the other two.

You might take it back to Verizon as defective to have them test or replace it. It should still be under waranty. You might also try doing the "*228" trick to make sure it's picking up the right set of cell towers first.

On another note, what is the Pearl?

Daniel

wow That Pearl Looks amazing!

Should i wait for that one? :candle:

I also really liked the Blackberry 8703e which has a Gorgeous Screen.

The "Q" from what I heard is quite flimsy and does not live up to its potential.

still lost here.

Thanks for the Replies Guys!
