Hey guys,

Hopefully one of the pros can help me with info on my newly aquired Surefire Forend light.

There are markings on the bottom that say "H 18" are these orginal to the light?

Oh, lust.

Can you show us the other side? This may predate the Sure-Fire trademark.

It's the dedicated fore-end housing/molding designation number though I can't be 100% certain it's a Surefire manufactured item as they list their equivalent as 618**, anyway according to HERE the H18 is specified for the 12 gauge Remington 870 shotgun

H16 is the replacement forend housing body for the Benelli M1 Super 90 Shotgun, 12ga, with serial numbers below M104801.

The model show above is likely 616 given it's L60 Lamp Module.

You can see the original Sure-Fire logo on the housing back from the early days when it was a niche sub-brand of Laser Products.

Wow so this is what the original Laser Products logo looks like?

I coulda' sworn that stamping was H18

Thanks for the clarification

It's hard to tell from the photo exactly what is written across the logo - I see "LPS" or something. The point is the "Laser scatter" background.

Guys thanks so much for the responses. Here is a photo of the other side

The center of the logo is marked LPC. The serial number on the head is A49039

The L60 doesn't look stock since the bezel has a serial number on it and the body has knurling. Unfortunately, the shotgun fore-end housing has only the pressure switch on the right side, and not the Option F constant-on rocker switch on the left side. IMO, you need constant-on capability for a two-handed weapon like a pump gun. It is also missing the metal switch block plate for the pressure switch. I found the old dedicated shotgun housings to be slippery and added some clear bathtub appliques for a better grip.
