Ok guys. Here's your chance to vote on your favorite ultra-floody, tidal wave of lumens, hand held LED flashlight.

What LED flashlight do you think bombs a whole football field like a atomic bomb of light? :)

What do you think?

Only floody led light I have own are the SF L4, I think it does a really good job providing a nice and even floody beam. Maybe not enough to cover a football fielad, but for the size it really does a good job! And now the new L1 with F04 diffuser is also quite nice, not like the L4 but nice anyway! :)

Maybe a bit off-topic / sidebar, but why do so many people love the L4? I constantly see praise for it on CPF, but I don't really understand why.

The L2 seems like a better light then the L4, in that it has two light output stages with the max equaling the L4.

Does the L4 really stack up to the competition in the CREE/REBEL generation?

Hello,

I love my Surefire L2 a lot. Even though the Fenixes L2T V2.0 and the L2D RB100 have more lumens output, the wide "wall of light" of the L2 remains more impressive.
For indoor use, an impressive light.:twothumbs
But... impressive as it's beam may be, it only manages 20 minutes on rechargeable RCR123 3.0 volt cells :mecry:.

This is where the Fenixes have an advantage that make them the more useful lights IMO.

Kind regards,
Joris

I think the L4 holds it place compared to the new cree leds just becasue its a floody led light. Cree leds arnt that good for floody light, so the L4 is quite uniqe so far. The output is still pretty amazing, even though there´s cree leds that are more powerful. I havent tried a L2 out so I cant really say anything about that one. I guess its a L4 with two stages, and is a bit longer. I think the extra length and the fact that you cant play lego with it makes is a less popular light. So overall the L4 is better in that sense. I just had to check it out after wanting a floody led light and after all the praise it got. When I first tried it out in my back yard, I really got a big smile! It was a bigger WAOW moment for me than it have been with any of the cree leds I have!

FlashSpyJ hit the big points concerning the L4 and the L2. The L2 is considerably bigger than the L4, which I find to be the perfect size for EDC. The L4's simplicity and ruggedness are also points in it's favor. It does what it does very well, better than the other two cell lights on the market. And while I can't wait for it to be upgraded, I find that the Lux V can hold it's own for my use.

Electro lumens My little friend,3 led using optics is the broadest ,brightest wall of light. I have 3 seoul P4 = 500 or so lumens.

I have a Lux V in a minimag driven by a bb 400 with a trimmed reflector that lights everything in front of me.

Milkyspit L2 pushing 200 lumens

Seoul SSCP4 USWOH emitter, hand-tested for optimal L2 compatibility
Circuit capsule rebuilt using SOB1000 regulator
Tailcap resistance recalibrated for good high/low beam ratio

My diffuser steals less lumens and diffuses better.( then Fo4 SF)
My L4 replacement is a Wolf Eyes or Deree 2x123a light with a cree and my diffuser.

Many more lumens , bigger "wall of light, no "hole" in middle, better tint.2x or more the runtime, does NOT get scalding hot.
