I was thinking of getting this light to use with the Lumens Factory EO-9L lamp and two protected 18650 cells.

I already have a handful of AW 18650 protected cells. Will those work in this light? Or do I need to get Wolf-Eyes 18650 protected cells (LRB-168A).

I know that there are two different extension kits that will allow me to run more powerful lamps in this light. But I don't own any 18500 cells. And with the 18650 extension tube, the light would be too long for my needs.

I'm running the EO-9L with two AW 18650's in my Rattlesnake M90. AW batteries fit perfectly in this light.

Look in my sig line for beam shots of EO-9L and EO-13 in the M90 Rattler. As I said many times on here, if I had to start again, this would be my first light (with the LED tailcap)....and all my cells are AW.

I remember that thread. Didn't post in it, but was impressed by the beam shots. (Especially liked that the beam shots were of an actual room, instead of a white wall).

I've heard good things about the LED tailcap. Don't think it would suit my needs though. Does it give better tactile feedback than the regular forward clickie switch?

I have both types of switches with my WE lights and I actually use the LED tailcap around the house or campground. I like both switches but understand that the LED version is not for everybody. I have a feeling that in your case you may be better off with the regular tactical version.....

I have to agree. I bought a Leef 2x18650 body, before realizing that the M90 would be a better choice in terms of cost.

Thanks for the help.

If you already have the Leef, why not simply use the D26 EO-9 instead, or perhaps the P91. If you need the head/bezel, get one from Lighthound, very cheap....thats exactly what I have.

More on the LED tailcap.....it is smaller than the regular tactical switch and works as a momentary on or twist to fully on, just like the original SF switch. If you dont like to use the LED light at all just reverse the polarity of the cells and then only the main lamp will work.

Even more oin the LED tailcap...

It took me a while to realize it, but you can also press the center of the LED tailcap to get momentary on for tactical purposes, and then twist for constant on.

Thanks again guys. I might just get an LED tailcap as a spare.

The Leef body I have is a C tail - M head version.

If it was C - C, I'd already have the light completed. Only have one M-series head. Just can't bring myself to cannablize my M6.

(Yeah, the Leef body was an impulse buy; once I saw it was in stock at Lighthound).
