Wanted: ARC4+ \"Turbo-Head\"

OK, this is what I (a tight beamaholic /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/huh.gif) would be enthused about spending some coins on...a "turbo-head" type attachment that would strongly focus the beam and significantly increase the throw of my ARC4+. I'd prefer that it be easily and conveniently attachable and removeable.

With the way the ARC4 is constructed, i think such an accessory would require either a complete new head/LED/Circuit assembly, or the end user would have to disect their ARC4 heads to get the LED/circuit out.
I cant see such an add-on being released or made in the form that you want.

An extension of the parabolic reflector might help. Of course, this would significantly increase the length of the flashlight.

Yes, I should have specified I wasn't thinking of a new head, just an add-on beam focusser of some sort. I don't really care much about additional length since in my vision it would be easily removeable and just an occasionally used accessory.

with the way the arc is designed, the only chance you might have to do this would be some kind of magnifying lens in front of the the reflector.

a "turbohead" just wouldn't work...

Just adding a larger reflector ring will not do too much to the bream. Of course you can add the spill to the hotspot.
The only solution would be a custom lens added to the front. To develop and manufacture such a thing will be a major project. But maybe you find a lens which does the job, pretty easy to experiment with.

The turbo-head probably would be along the lines of an Inova XO or X1--these use an optic to strongly focus the beam forward for maximum throw. Maybe a large Fraen lens? Or even a Fresnel lens?

Why large? There is no need to make it much larger than the recent lens (maybe 30-35mm).
I also thought about a Fresnel lens, but a plastic lens should be light and small enough.
