I am looking for a supplyer of a small
push on/push off switch to make a tailcap
switch for a mini-maglight (AA size)

I can find momentary switches but not the
"alternate action" type.

If you can find a source, please let us all know. We've been looking for this kind of switch for a while!

a retractable pen with a momentary PB switch.
but I think that would be a pain to fit together.

The only problem with a push-on-push off switch is that they are long. It add quite a bit to the length of the light. The pen mechanism would do the same.

Questions about these tail thingies keep poping up.

Could this be placed in the FAQ?.

If I recall , the Ram is better than the Kroll. Yes?

<font size="2" face="Verdana, Arial">I think if I could get the switch, I could make a tailcap to take it, and have it no longer than a standard tailcap. (no need for a spare bulb) I've been looking at the micro-mini toggle switches at DIGI-KEY and I could put a slot in the end to have the switch lever recessed. I'd have to make it out of brass though, to allow me to solder the switch contacts to it. I would prefer a PB switch that you can be used momentarly, you know, for signaling.

$7 is way too much for a tailcap switch at

But if someone could find the Mfg. of the switch that they use, I bet the're a lot less than $7
