Weapons mount??

Any ideas on how an ARC LS would hold up under recoil?? I was pondering my ARC LS as a light on a handgun or shotgun(whichever I end up with, another topic for another forum). I'm talking about household distance in the dark, not using the light at night outside. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif Just wondering if it has been tried, or considered by anyone else. Even if it holds up to recoil, and you could rig a way to mount it... I don't think it's bright enough to qualify as a weapons light. $0.02

Sure it does. It will draw fire quite nicely... ;-)

But really, in the LS4 announcement thread Peter mentions his interactions with the "serious men in black suits" crowd. They like the LED lights because the bulbs don't pop due to recoil stress. He was a bit concerned with the LS4 "reseting" due to power loss (battery loses contact under recoil stress). Seems to have things covered at the moment...

I know it won't be as bright as a surefire, but it lights up the other side of my living room at night. If I was some SF/SWAT/Secret Agent then I would want something brighter. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif I'm just an old boy with some toys and looking to make my "toy" more useful. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I think the new LSHF=P would be ideal for the use of a weapon light. Especially for home use and plinking at night.
