Hi everyone,

Im completely new to replacing LEDs and was hoping I could get some help/ advice.

I have a wf-600 q2 here and would like to know what i would need to put a p7 in it. Would i need a new driver and what about heatsinks?? What do you all think?

Thanks,
Brock.

I think is should be ok to host p7.

What you might need is to make a good heat sink, dont know how much heat producing from direct drive.

WF600 reflect has end openning fit P7 and will give some nice hot spot.

Very soon i will be making a generic MRV (which is smart fire V68) p7.

Will cost me roughtly $70 total

Just waiting to order...............

WF-600 is a Cree thrower, with P7 you'll get more floody beam with some artifacts.

Even though it would be floodier it would still have more throw, right?
I guess Ill just give it a try and see what happens. :)

Any idea if i could fit this heatsink from dealextreme in?

not necessarily...it might even have less...just because the reflectors big wont mean it will focus it properly... having higher lumens would increase throw...but whether it's enough to compensate for the "possibly" floody beam who's to know...

and as for the heatsink...i dont have a wf-600 but if you do u could try measuring the diameter inside the bezel...

Since the reflector is smooth, it will also have a hole in the beam at full focus.

You will get a bigger beam.

:welcome:

From what ive read...a directly driven P7 from 18650 is about 40mins and a C bin should be brighter than a B bin
