There are a few items that nearly everyone agree belong to an EDC kit, such as:

*EDC flashlight, it helps eliminate dark situations.
*Pocket knife, a versatile tool, for cutting through, defending yourself.
*Watch, it can help make your days more efficient, also the delicate and beautiful decoration.
*Pens, great for taking notes no matter where you are or needing to sign documents.
*Multitool, common multitool functions include pliers, screwdrivers, bottle openers, scissors, and other cutting tools. It embodies core principles of EDC - utility, versatility, portability.
......
How about your EDC essentials? Welcome to share your great EDC combo! :)

The contents of my handbag on a daily basis:

Fenix E12 v2.0 flashlight with spare battery
Victorinox Rambler (the Classic, with the bottle opener from the Rally)
Fisher Bullet Space Pen (emergency backup, normally I use fountain pens)
Bic mini Bic lighter
PackTowl Personal microfiber hand towel (always know where your towel is, thank you Douglas Adams)
3M Scotch-Brite microfiber lens/screen cleaning cloth
Gerber Harsey AirFrame knife
Dia-Sharp credit card sized diamond sharpening stone
SanDisk 16GB USB drive with important information
a small zip bag with 16 ea: 200 mg ibuprofen, 500 mg acetaminophen, 25 mg diphenhydramine HCl.
a roll of Rolaids
Columbia cloth mask
125 mL Nalgene HDPE narrow mouth bottle with flip-top spout filled with isopropanol 70%
Lysol-to-Go
small tube of Jergens hand lotion
Kleenex PocketPak
small packet of Charmin toilet seat liners
panty shields and sanitary pads (double as field-expedient bandages/compresses)
a couple of condoms in a Radius case
pair of reading glasses on a neck lanyard
extra pair reading glasses in a soft case (Walmart $6 kind I like)
pony tail elastics
Nalgene 1L polycarbonate water bottle with HumanGear CapCap (for drinking)
Snow Peak SCT-001 and SCT-004 titanium knife/fork/spoon set and spork
Keith Titanium Ti5634 solid titanium travel chopsticks
Buck Diamondback fixed blade knife (food use only)
Target/Sonia Kashuk hairbrush
iPhone SE 2020
Anker 5000 mAh backup battery
cables for the above
Apple wired earbuds and adapter
my Filofax and fountain pens
parking change
one of those brass hooks you can use to open doors and press buttons without touching them

I have a different handbag I use in the backcountry, that includes, in addition to many of the items above, things like:
Fenix HM23 headlamp with spare battery
Light My Fire FireSteel 2.0 Army ferrocerium rod
Storm whistle
Brunton TruArc 3 compass
vintage U-Dig-It trowel (the original model from over 20 years ago)
Keith Titanium titanium comb
Fällkniven CC4 ceramic/ceramic sharpening stone
EZE-LAP diamond fish hook sharpener (looks like a vintage pen)
Nalgene 30 mL HDPE bottle filled with Redmond Real Salt (my favorite sea salt)
vintage Doan's magnesium firestarter block
a Burt's Bees lipbalm
some cordage (spool of Sterling 1.0mm or Atwood 1.18 mm utility cord), plus a bit of leftover mantle stripped from some 550 paracord
a couple of blanket pins
a handful of jelly hair elastics (the toughest rubber bands you can easily buy, useful for all sorts of binding tasks)
some tiny Nite-Ize stainless S-biners
a tiny Harken Micro block they used to sell as a keychain, but which is actually a real functional block I can use for rigging things
0.25 oz glass vial filled with jojoba oil

This reminds me, I need to pick up a tiny tackle box for my backcountry kit, for things like a small sewing kit and other odds and ends.

On the drugs: I suffer from regular allergic rhinitis to a pretty severe extent, so I always need to keep diphenhydramine on me. And studies indicate that the most effective dosage of over-the-counter pain relievers is a combination of 200 mg ibuprofen and 500 mg acetaminophen. I figure 16 of each is enough to last a few days, if I'm stuck away from home.

I've gotten out of the habit of wearing a watch, because my wrists have gotten too fat for my good watch, my Breitling Seawolf Avenger. I have a Timex Expedition Scout around here with a NATO-type band, but I rarely actually wear it. I need to find a Breitling dealer with the right tool to put a link back in my bracelet and actually remember to bring my watch and bracelet links to have them do it the next time I travel to a more populated region.
