i just recieved Cabela's new spring catalog and it has a new mini 123 battery unit that looks great. any one know anything about them? who's the actual OEM?

If you do a search on Cabela's and/or Nuwai, you will find several threads that discuss this version, the 2 x 123 version, and the rechargeable version. Most of the other posts on these lights are in the 'General Flashlight and Headlamp Discussion' section but of course with these hybrid lights, it is a real toss-up where to post.

Hopefully soon there will be enough of these hybrid lights to merit their own section. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif Rumor has it that Streamlight may "soon" be marketing a significant portion of the Nuwai line. One can only hope!!!

I never knew Cabela`s shipped overseas before. Now I do, and now I`ve got one of each of their Extreme LED/Xenon lights on order! Hope they live up to expectations, cos from what I`ve read so far, they`re decent lights indeed - and I`ve had my eye on them for some time now.
