What are the rank of LEDs?

I've seen it around here before, but don't know where exactly. I was interested in how all the LEDs rank against each other as far as which ones are better than the others.

For example,
5mm
10mm
lux 1
lux 2
lux 3
rebel
cree

It was a huge list, and I was just curious as to how they compare to each other. I have a light that uses a Jupiter Nichia (River Rock 2AA) and now I've seen the Sportsman Extreme 2AA that uses, I believe, a lux3 and I don't know which of these lights is brighter, or if there's even a difference.

Anyone know what or where this list is?

I'm surprised to see the Nichia listed together with the 5mm. I thought the 5mm was the dimmest. My RR 2AA is MUCH brighter!

Nichia is just a brand of 5mm LED's.

Nichia makes 5mm LEDs BS ~3 lumens, CS ~5 lumens, DS ~9 lumens, GS ~11 lumens. So a GS is almost 4X brighter than the older BS.

Nichia also make the surface mount 0.5W Rigel LED.

Note it is a square and does not look like a 5mm at all.

Your RR 2AA probably has a 1.25/1.5 watt Jupiter LED in it.

The Rigel & Jupiter LEDs are not popular and most people think of Nichia as a 5mm LED manufacturer.
