Need to replace/upgrade the batteries for a SF KL7. Current batteries are B 90 NIMH. What should I replace them with? The same Battery or a Lithium replacement? Where to buy?

For the Surefire L7? You can easily get a replacement from Surefire.
I believe somebody was working on a higher capacity nickle-cadmium battery stick for the 8AX/9N/9AN/L7 awhile back, but I don't know whatever happened with that project.

SilverFox, I believe is still involved with a high capacity NiMh battery pack project. Problems developed along the way, stalling the project. Do a search for SilverFox's threads.

Hello Bryan,
You can do a search for the thread "Twice the Run time and Brighter" to come up to speed on the custom battery packs I was working on. Unfortunately, GP stopped making the cells I was using, and I have been unable to locate a suitable replacement.
I may do a small batch with Saft cells, but they don't give me twice the run time so I have been holding off.
