Err my gf Took a little glance of my Ti PD-S and saw how pretty and cool was now she wants one for her purse (mine) i don't know what to say, the real value, well she will kill me or NO :awman:. I was planning to say that is part of a passaround but that will leave me no choice of hiding it from her.

I already lost my SF M6 to her mom while i was on a trip her mom saw my M6 on my Shelf she asked me on the phone if she could have "a" flashlight i thought it would be ok i had several $1 LEDs at that time but to my surprise she took my M6 now is in the other side of the world. Also lost a E2E my sis saw it and she just put it into her purse then asked me if she could have it i had no other choice...

Don't tell her how much but do tell her it was very expensive in a way that she gets the idea it was more than a $100 and do give it to her. Then you get to go get another one. ;) It's all part of the fun.

Cheers
Dave

Buy another. I think there's one on b/s/t.
If she shares your tastes in flashlights then you don't need to hide anything
(except maybe the price tag, and that's somewhat traditional anyway).
His&hers matching lights are cool. Patty & I have matching red CR2 Ions.

Guys, my wife always takes my Mizer when she can.
I was offered another mizer by a true gentleman of a CPF'r today,
so I gave my wife my mizer. When she asked why, I told her I was able to find another. She refused my mizer because she does not want me spending that type of
money on her.....Jeez!

You could always try: "Oh, you don't want that old piece of junk, it requires special batteries (CR123/rechargeable/whatever). I'll give you this [much cheaper] AA-powered light, which is much better!" That's how I've managed to divert people's attention from my $50-$100 lights to ~$10 lights from Dealextreme :D

Of course, since you're talking about your girlfriend, you probably don't want to be that much of a cheapskate as that... getting an alternative such as a Fenix L1D-CE, or something in the $35-55 range would still make a good gift, but won't be nearly as expensive as giving Surefires/custom lights (like the examples you mentioned).

I already had a Orb Raw planned for her, after the M6 and E2E hit i'm kind of scared of showing off my flashlights to my relatives heheh i'll probably give it to her and wait for a AlTin :D i'll have to keep my Al PD which is still great light even is not mizer :(.

Get her a nice Lipstick-light (Neoca BL), or maybe Raw NS :)
Very shiny, bling-bling...

That`s a good idea. I have a Gold Plated Neoca she would like. Hmmm... I guess that wasn`t cheap enough to be getting away with anything. :ohgeez: But she might be REALLY HAPPY WITH YOU! :naughty:

Kenster's generosity really knows no bounds! ;)

I think claiming any McGizmo lights would be sufficient
grounds for annulment/divorce and would hold up very readily
in any court of law.

Can't lie to her can ya? Get another and give her that one. Can I join your family?
Leave a E1L laying around or something and you can give it to me.Or about any Mc
Gizmo of your choice.

This is where I would draw the line.
It is one thing to give someone a cheap light and not have it be appreciated, but to give them a $100-200+ light and not as so much get a thank you note!

No way. Here is a couple bucks for the Rayovac down at Walgreens.

greenstuffs,

You need to stop getting bullied by the women in your life:laughing:. Here is the word that I would use to stop all of this...

NO!:ohgeez:

Tell the girlfriend and the girlfriends mom no.

Another method that I use to set things right is to buy double the amount of lights that are taken from me.

My wife has a Raw Ns with 3 pink trits. She could not care less about my lights. She carries the Ns b/c I feel more comfy knowing she has a light.

Greenstuff, you need to sit her down and tell her how much you love your hobby and the light she has claimed as hers is by far your most favorite light. You would be more than happy to give her another high quality illumination tool, but you would appreciate it if she would hand you your favorite Everyday Carry light back. But have this conversation at dinner after 2-3 glasses of wine and/or Margaritas. :D

If she really likes lights, that's rare and a definite plus. If not, couldn't you say "I have already gotten you other gift"? Then you could substitute jewelry (or whatever) and keep your Ti PD.

+1
And in the end honesty is the best policy. Tell her how much you actuallyspent on the light. The women I know tend to look down on lying to them, hiding things from them, etc.
