I had it connected in series to a 1a power puck for testing.. so when mounting to the heatsink I decided to remove the wires from the 2nd LED went to hook up everything again and now it wont light up but the first LED does while the 2nd LED is connected.

now the thing that puzzles me is while the 2nd LED wont make any light it's making heat! what happened??

turns out I had a wire backwards

How is the Led attached to the heatsink??? The metal part under the Led in most case is positive or anode, you have to isolate each Led to the heatsink, maybe this is the reason...

the screw was not the issue the last wire was reversed.. has been long fixed.
