I am going fly fishing this weekend at night for the hex hatch. What would be the best headlamp for this application? What draws me in to the Petzl is the diffusion filter. But I heard the PT eos is brighter. I will need to see whats ahead of me walking in woods, trails and wading in the water. I also need to see my hands for tying flies on and knots and such. So does the PT EOS project light for those times i need to see my hands? Just wondered if anyone had any advice. Thanks!

I went with Princeton Tec - supposed to be more water resistant than the Petzl. Got an Apex Pro - I believe its 180 Lumens - but also has 4 red leds better for nightvision after you turn it off and not supposed to spook the fish as much as white light will. The 180 is great for walking across the rocks to get to my fishing spots. Not sure if we are allowed to give names of dealers here, but they are on the dealers corner list - BG.
