Only one I've paid any money for is Album Mixer, because shuffle-by-album is the best way to listen to music.

I was kind of dissappointed when they stopped offering eWifi in the U.S. store, but I have it.

Runkeeper - it's an advanced pedometer that uses GPS to track your speed distance and route, it also has settings for cycling, walking and skiing etc. You can upload your data to their website and track your progress (I haven't tried that bit yet). So far very useful!

I have a 3rd gen Ipod touch 32 GB. It runs the same apps as the iphone, and I love the wifi internet access feature.

1. Right now, one of my fav apps is a game called "Hit N'Run" - its a cool racing game that isn't hard to play. I paid the 99 cents for the full version. If you add "friends" - you can see each others scores and try to beat each other. It's pretty fun. If anyone gets it, let me know.

2. Planets - Free app. Great for astronomy'

3. MyRadar - one of the best weather radar apps

4. FSS Hockey - air hockey

5. Speed Test - just like the PC version... It tests your upload and download speed

6. Small Arms - Cool weapon encyclopedia that can access videos and wiki articles on the weapons too.

7. Free Wifi - Lists free wifi areas across the USA

8. THN - Hockey news and scores

9. Dallas Stars Hockey - I'm able to see game dates and scores for the NHL team

10. Battery Life - My fav battery app.

11. Fluent News - On of the better News Apps to see a variety of stories.

12. Meebo - Lets you use various instant messaging service.

Tango Remote Music Player HD is fantastic.

I have an ipod with 64GB of music plugged into my house sound system. With this app, I can control that ipod with my iphone anywhere in my wifi area. So out at the pool I am relaxing and picking my tunes. :twothumbs

What makes this app so special is it makes the iphone look like the ipod display. You get all of the functionality that you would get if you were right in front of the ipod and there is nothing to learn!!!

Works with any idevice to any idevice.

Five stars, go buy it.

Cheers
Dave

Lately I just picked up a game called Nimble Strong which teaches you to learn how to mix drinks and cocktails. It's pretty fun and I learned a good bit from it.

I don't use many iPhone apps although I've tested quite a lot but I deleted most of them after a few days. The eBook app is really cool although reading longer texts on the small screen is exhausting for my old eyes. I really love the poker apps, WSOP poker is really good and I am going to check out the PPA iPhone Poker app in the next days. Since I am a big Texas Hold em fan, playing poker on the train or the bus is my main activity.

Just spotted that we lost loads of posts during the crash - so I thought we should bring this one back to life...

I have been using Star Walk, it's an astronomy type app, but very well done, it works very well on the ipad too.

Nav Free is a great sat nav app and it's free!

So, what have you found for your iphone or ipad that's good?

For iPad: Animoog, by the folks at Moog synthesizers; this is a very powerful program that combines a full-featured keyboard synth with an animated Kaoss-pad type oscilliscope interface, with recording ability. I would estimate that an actual keyboard or device that can do what this program does would ring in at around a thousand dollars - and this app is available now at an introductory price of 99 cents, next month it will be $30. Very highly recommended even if you're just curious about making electronic sounds with your iPad..
