fellas considering some compact 18650 options. My current flashlights range from 3600 CD to 69,000CD. So nothing in mid range level to compare.

Would 1000 lumens and 17600 CD from something like a fenix UC-35 allow me to tell the difference between a small pig and a dog at 100 yards? and assume for the sake of argument my eyesight is good enough to recognize these in daylight :)

That is a 15 degree beam. I don't have that one but my Pelican 7600 has about the same specs. It is a wonderful light but my black Labrador dissappears behind a wall of backscatter at 75 yards on a moderately hazy night. I would try to stay at or under 10 degrees.

Everything you want and more comes in the New P30 hunting flashlight kit. Unfortunately it has a 2" head, so your search continues.

yes plenty of bigger reflector options out there. Used to run pflexpro modded C8's for long range tasks, but only need compact these days.

Look for something with a FL1 Beam distance of at least 300M or about 23000cd. I find that each Meter of beam distance gives roughly 1 foot of practical range.
