What is the brightest led that fits in a flashlight

What is the brightest led you can put in a flashlight preferably a maglite.

You could probably determine this pretty easily using the search function. There is also a list of maglite mods, including LED ones.
For highest overall brightness, then you would have to have P7 or a CREE MC-E. There are also a few multi LED mods that use multiple single die LEDs for similarly high output.

now a days LEDs are so powerful that theres no such thing as "most powerful" because they are beyond the capability of being distinguished by human ocular vision. "Brightest" demands a relevant reference to compare to you want an LED relatively brighter than what?
