What is the expected run time of the Task Force 2C with alkaline batteries? I tried to do a search but kept on getting the 'fatal error' screen...,

thanks

I got the light just because I'm curious. Who cares about run time when it's c cells? It'll be plenty...great- really bright light- for a store bought item. It does feel a bit cheap in the hand- but it's still a high powered bargain!

If you like the TF2C then check out the Advance Auto Parts 2C LED light. They are almost identical AAP2C is about $20 if you can get to an AAP store.

Is this the light? There is a runtime graph on the page...

Not exactly. I think anyone asking about the light at this point is asking about he new CREE version, not the older Luxeon III version in that review. I've seen a couple of current measurement reports of the CREE version of the light on this site ranging from I think 600mA to 1200mA, so I don't know what to believe. I haven't let the light run to darkness yet, but on 2650mAh AA cells in C adapters, it lasts at least 40 minutes for my bike ride home from work. I recharge it when I get home so I don't know if I'm on the edge of darkness, or only halfway there as I'm guessing based on 1200mA.

so....no one has done a runtime on the Cree version using plain ol' alkaline c batteries?

any runtimes on the 1AA task force??

I think people's assumptions are the CREE is basically running the same circuit as the LuxIII, just with a higher efficiency emitter, so the runtime graph is probably close to the same.
