What is this spacer made of?

What is this spacer of this drop-in made of?
Lost one, where to get? How to made?

I think it is some heat resistant and electrical insulating plastic foil.
Maybe one could make them yourself out of transparent foils for laser printer/copier ? They should be heat resistant. I don't know if they are insulating enough.

It is simple plain thin cardboard with adhesive on one side. You can also make one out of transparent foil, as Vectrex said.

Really? Cardboard? That would be bad, considering the heat that some emitters dissipate. All my flashlights have plastic spacers.

Don't worry, ignition temperature of paper is 233 degrees C (remember the movie "Fahernheit 451")

But even if it does not ignite, cardboard is a bad choice, as it ages fast when exposed to heat. Also it has to be thick to withstand mechanical wear. (like screwing down the reflector)
