I was wondering what your favorite light that you can buy from a store like Wallmart,Home Depot, Tractor Supply Or a similar store is? I know the quality of these is not very good but was still wondering what everyone thought.
You can get good quality at local stores. Favorite used to be the Inova Tiros X0, but since they dropped the Tiros it would be the Inova X5 from Target. If they sold the Inova T1 at Target I might go for that. I have yet to see one but if I found a Streamlight Stylus Pro that would be a top choice for me.
I picked up a Coleman MAX 2aa cree light from Walmart. Seems to be pretty decent.
An Inova X5 from Target is excellent provided you know what to expect regarding output. Build quality is top notch. I think many Target stores are removing them from their inventory so should get a good price if they are available.
I would suggest the Inova T-series, the "MP" models, with the K2 TFFC emitter. Although I got it cheaper online, my Inova T1 MP is my favorite light that I could buy in Target, etc.
For a light you can buy in the stores easily, my vote goes for the Husky 2D 4 watt that you can buy at Home Depot. for about $25
Other than that I really like my Nitecore D10 and it's easily my favorite light. My wifes current fav is her Fenix L1DQ5. But both have to be ordered online or by phone which is how I prefer to buy anyway.
SureFire G2Z with red filter cap and factory LED drop-in. But going to get a M60L in warm. Oh yea. Anyways I like the G2Z because it has hit the deck tons of times and only has a few very very small scrapes on the glass. So I trust it. Feels good in the hand too.The tail cap also seems like something that will not break. I have seen LED G2 at ****s and Lowes. Thinking they would work just as good.
