I salvaged this complete laser system from a precision measuring device that was retrofitted to some new technology.
I would like to sell the complete system but am wondering if anybody here knows what a fair asking price should be.
It comes with:
1. Spectra-Physics 117B laser
2. Interferometers and retro reflectors.
3. Power supply
4. Dual fiber optic alignment and mounting bracket.
Also comes with two fiber optic cables to direct laser beam through interferometers.
I would rather not sell this on ebay so skip that suggestion. I prefer dealing with known folks on forums like this site but if there is another forum where this might generate some interest, let me know.
The only part of this system that I'm not able to sell are the optical phase decoders. Probably doesn't matter though since they were custom designed for one purpose by a now defunct company and are of absolutely no use for the average Joe.
By the way, what would the average Joe do with Ne-He laser anyways?
I've had it for a couple years now and still haven't figured out what to do with it?
