What should I buy??

Should I buy a:

LGI (mrbulk)
CMG Reactor
CMG Reactor III (will not work with lit. batts??)

I want a good bright light and good runtime.

bright light: LGI classics
runtime: LGI and reactor 3
The reactor may get near LGI in output, but the beam of LGI is better.
Never try the original reactor. Simply useless

I think you should buy the Classic LGI first from Mr Bulk. I don't have any experience with the Reactor 3, but with Mr. Bulk's classic LGI, you get the finest LS around and it's very bright. Build quality is top notch! I don't think you'll be disappointed with the LGI...

If you had to decide between those 3, then I'd definately go for the LGI... However, you have to get in contact with Charlie (Mr Bulk) for availability or snatch it off of someone else.

If you're deciding between the 2 reactors, get the 3AA Reactor III. It takes the mild sting of LiAAs out of the picture.

Another one to consider that's right at those price ranges and performs just as well as the LGI, are the MadMax/BadBoy drop-ins from Wayne (dat2zip)...

Just what is the mini LGI? Is is base on a brinkmann legend 2aaa? I've heard it mentioned and it sounds pretty intriguing.

check the modders forum, it uses 3 aaa s (i believe) in a triangular configuration. much smaller form factor with pretty close to the same output.

this is the only link that i can found. Notice that the beam in the picture shown lose to the LGI classic. However, the mini that i have almost on par with the classics.

My Long Gun Illuminator is brighter than my MMs and BBs, but I EDC (every day carry) a BB.

I don't have a Reactor III.

I have not yet bought anything from Elektrolumens but you might want to consider his offerings.

My personal preference for LED flashlights are those that are built by ModMen. They are ridiculously talented. I tend to just lurk in the "Homemade..." forum here at CandlePowerForums to see what they are up to.

The 3AA length of the LGI makes it rather hard to EDC. Not very convinient..

Ditto on the LGI. Best damn $55 I spent on a Luxeon! Like everyone said before 3AA isn't an EDC, but its a powerhouse none-the-less and you should certainly have no qualms about pruchasing it.

FWIW, it blows away most of my incan lights too. It only gets beat by my SureFire Z2 with HOLA (P61) and my PT Surge. That is some serious light power for 3AAs!!!
