What should I do with this light??

First, try tightening the tailcap retaining ring and cleaning the contacts. If that doesn't fix the light, return it.

I cleaned the contacts... Can you explain how to tighten the tailcap retaining ring?

Stick something in the two holes in the tailcap retaining ring, and tighten.

Also check the light by bypassing the tailcap entirely.

Have you removed the head and cleaned those contacts as well?

Remember that great tire comercial where the anouncer says, "If your not completely satisfied with one of our tires, please return it." and the old lady throws it through the front store window?

Well, you might have to buy a ticket to China, but it could be totally worth it. :)

Here is something about this light:

The light engine in the head might also be loose, try to thighten that too.

I'm happy with mine now, when I find better 2-stage switch, I'll try to change that too.

So if you like this to be a hobby -> fix, repair and mod
but if you only want your only light to work flawless, then try refund and try some 1 or 5 mode lights, those have simply 1-stage switch.

Thanks for your help folks... I think I fixed it:)

I took the switch totally out, wiped it off, tested conituity (good), put it back, problem gone...

It was a bit dirty/ gritty in there... rock solid now.

For the money... I like this light... I'm gonna abuse it for a week or so, and if it holds up, I'm getting more as gifts...

Thanks again for helping this noob!!
