What will happen if I run a 1mr 16340 in my Fenix PD20?

I tried it just for a couple seconds and it makes my favorite EDC even brighter.....

What are the negatives? Dangerous?

You can use a 3.7V cell, often overdriving the electronics and LED, and loose all low modes. [edit in :some users report permanent damage.]

That was with the P2D, same thing with the PD20.

Your light might fail, but the possibilities are very low. I have no problems with my P2D.
